It has been announced that the Pokémon anime will have a new arc titled "Pocket Monsters: Mezase Pokémon Master" (Pokémon: Aim to be a Pokémon Master), which will be the last one where Ash and Pikachu will be the protagonists. The new arc will premiere on January 13 and will consist of 11 episodes.
